They roamed the plains in thundering herds
Magnificent beasts awesome in their sight
In the jungles muscles tensing as they hunt
The big cats’ mighty roar could be heard
In the oceans the songs of the whales
A true delight to all that could hear
The rainforests held such diverse
Wonders and teamed with life
The mountains home for Eagles
Soaring high above in majestic splendor
The mountains, plains, forests and seas
Softly tell of the earths faded glory

I don't know if it's this beautiful Grateful Dead song I'm listening to or what but this poem teared me up. I love my Mother Earth. This was a wonderful write. Peace to you, Laura |
