To Pat

Topic: SadPoetry

Did You dream about me?
I dreamed about you.
Dreamed you took me back,
Dreamed that you were true.

Dreamed my heart was healed,
That my pain was gone.
That I was pretty,
And to you I belonged.

I dreamed that you loved me,
I dreamed that you cared.
But what do I do now?
Without you, im scared.

I lost my bestfriend,
Don't know what to do.
Wish I had a last hug,
And could stop thinking about you.

Iv'e never been so hurt,
Never been so mad.
Never wished so hard,
That I wasn't so sad.

Got three hours of sleep,
Couldn't get anymore,
Just sat there crying,
Sitting on my floor.

I'm left with nothing,
Except tears on my cheek.
The fact he doesn't care,
Makes me so weak.

After all of this,
I wish I could say,
That I could move on,
That I'd be okay.

He doesn't love me,
So I have to move on,
Its just so hard for me,
To pretend that I'm strong.

I'm sorry that the inspiration for the poem came from where it did, but...

You maintained an ABCB scheme all the way through and the words chosen were effective in relation to the content, which is presented in quite a logical progression.

This is a simplistic and solid poem. Great work, brittaney.

Thanks for sharing.

You have strength, find it in your heart, He who is in you. Very sad poem. Be strong in all that you do. My prayers are with you. hugs raquelLeah
