Making of a Clone

Contributed by Cancer on Monday, 27th January 2003 @ 07:00:00 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

out of control
what's wrong with me?
schizophrenia, paranoia
depression, ADD
something had to be done
god forbid i should just be a kid
pump me full of your happy pills
and send me to your shrinks
obliterate abnormal thought
kill my creativity
make me just like all the rest
seek and destroy individuality
and now i cannot break away
i'm addicted somehow
you've made your child a ***** clone
ARE YOU HAPPY NOW?

scared of the fact
of facing a mind
that has no boundaries
to struggle behind
you told me i could be anything
at one time that was true
but now i'm trapped inside this drone
AND IT'S ALL BECAUSE OF YOU
society embraces me
now that i'm under control
nothing seems to bother me
now that you've cured me of my soul
staring out the window
wondering how it feels
to have a thought, to hate someone
TO LIVE IN A WORLD THAT'S REAL

no more pills
you're killing me
seperated me
from reality
but you wouldn't let up
kept shoving them down
my throat
i must escape somehow
the pills have brought this horrid life
the pills will take away
so one day while you are gone
i open the bottles and take all i can take
you walk in the door and scream
as you see me dead upon the floor
a scribbled not beside my corpse
"i can't do this anymore"
YOU LAZY B******S
YOU COULDN'T DEAL
WITH A CHILD SO FULL OF LIFE
so you made me a machine
and your mind was at ease
BUT YOU ONLY ADDED TO MY STRIFE
you were so happy to see the pills
turn me into a drone
but not as happy as i, when i said goodbye
to this world and YOUR ***** CLONE

Well this was a good poem all though its not always the parents that put their child on this the doctors are the ones!I know a child that was to be put on ritalin & the mother told the doctors NO WAY!!! Most parents are listening to what the doctors say because they are not aware of what it can do! So dont always blame the parent,we are just learning too!Christina

Excellent Write, and thank you too for writing this, more people need to know they can and should say no to Ritalin, it is an awful degrading discusting thing to do to a child, this is misunderstood by many, I would never allow it if it were up to me, I have known too many kids who have been put through this torture, your right, it is very very wrong..
