Winter Heart

Frozen stuff and cold to the touch,
So near and yet so far,
Your beautiful winter heart,
I strain to hold it in my hands,
And warm it with my love,
Even if my hand is numb with cold,
Holding something that is there but not there,
Alive but dead,
I will never give up,
I will never crush your heart,
Your heart is my porcelain,
But I will restore your weak pulse,
I will never stop being your sun,
Until every frozen part becomes flesh warmth,
Until I feel it beat within my grasp along with my heart,
Until spring comes to your December,
Until I melt your winter heart,
I will be here, now and forever,
Just let me be beside you...
