slumber in the midst

Contributed by lostrelic on Tuesday, 24th January 2006 @ 01:02:58 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

a kinder orange faced me today as the light breeze sang sweet melodies
a gentle pass of snow in the night gives me a morning diamond wake
the freshness of the air and the spirit it invokes a moving state
the slowness of the wake eases the spite of anger a new days fate

the streak of colour blinding the senses the view it"s angelic in its whole
the darkness of the night fading slowly the moonlight taking its turn
a new night creeping slowly another dream in the making begins to earn
the light fading as as the stars make there nightly yearn

a new wash of faith a grasp of the surreal as the new day dawns
its merging of the seasons plaine a slumber in the midst
as the early fog covers the land in a slow fading wisp
only a new sun rises could the beauty be eclipse

i face this day in a whole new way chaos it sleeps for now
it will rise again as i try to win but thats something i cant foresee
i will remain placid and calm as to let me be me
but thats all i can really do to make sure i can see

...I Loved the title...I was shutting off my computer in preparation to leave work and thought I'd take a quick look see...your title, "slumber in the mist," grabbed me...the whole poem had a spirit of acceptance...a sense that whatever came, could be handled...I believe that is the Truth that eludes so many of us...

...thanks,

ron...enigma
