what would you do

Contributed by cashncoe on Monday, 23rd January 2006 @ 08:49:42 PM in AEST
Topic: SongLyrics

a little girl's cryin' in the waiting room
but her daddy wont be comin' home any time soon
she leans on her momma and togeather they cry
at the same time praying that her daddy doesn't die
(chorus)
what would you do... with her blues
what would you do... in her shoes
could you walk a mile standin' tall
could you even walk at all
vrs.2
she's fourteen and expecting a child
she was raped by a man who was livin wild
she cant bear the pain and she cant hide her shame
she only wishes that nobody knew her name
(chorus)
vrs.3
she walks around town with a bruise on her cheek
but he only beats her when he feels weak
nobody listens to the words she has to say
still she swears that she'll get even some day
(end choursx2)

So much pain and injustice...

very good song, very touching...

It doesn't sound like its finished tho'...needs a ending filled with justified satisfication and peace...where she gets control of her life back.
