Keep playing that string
It's the only thing keeping me alive
Or else I'll stop trying to care about you
And I know you don't want that right now

Keep playing that string
Right now it's everything to me
Will you please stop being misleading?
The windows have fogged up now
You decided that your own rate of breathing was worth me not seeing

You have nothing without me
So you better find out what makes me tick
Or I'll have to stop once the batteries go low
Then you'll be alone with no sense of essence

Keep playing that string
Beat for beat it matches my heart
Stop and I'll stop giving you everything I'm trying to be
