Enjoyable Hell

Contributed by sir_odd87 on Monday, 23rd January 2006 @ 02:39:10 PM in AEST
Topic: Nostalgic

I don't remember many of them
As I look through the pages
Filled with pictures of my youth.
I think back to being younger.
When Saturdays were days for play
And marathons of cartoons
And Sundays were spent playing quietly
While my parents napped after church
My brother and I would play outside,
Running about, not doing anything
But loving every minute of it.
What wouldn't I give,
To go back and just to live?
To go back to the when my only worry
Was how much time I spent outside?
I turn the page, and then I know
Just what I wouldn't give.
I see a picture from two years ago,
From our first date together.
You look so beautiful, as always.
I think back to before we ever met.
Sure, I was happy then.
Everything was simpler.
But would I trade your love
Just to be where I was before?
Not on either of our lives.
Before, I didn't know it, but I was in an enjoyable Hell
Now, I have you, and I'm in heaven.

Man, I just love digging through old stuff. Since we've just recently moved, of course you find stuff packing and unpacking...it was so cool looking back through stuff. Sweet write. Peace, Laura
