Blurred Line
Loved and trusted by many a friend,
Hugged and pampered until the end,
Given the love that we all yearn for,
I hung with the rich, I hung with the poor.
Is this what the doctor forced upon me?
Am I just a test, thrown down onto thee?
Is this depression produced from a drug?
Or did it form from those forceful hugs?
I asked these questions many a night,
Always giving myself a ghastly fright,
Is this death flowing through my brain?
Or is that just blood gushing from my vein?
I came, I saw, I laughed, I cried,
I pushed, I hurt, I was denied,
The reason I write is because of you,
The time you punched me and blood I spew.
So please reply in due time,
It’s getting harder to write a rhyme,
My vision’s getting blurry as I write,
All because of you and that frightful night.
You took me into your arms again,
You gave me a watch; I gave you a pen,
I saw the fist clench and release,
After that I saw your back, come back Denise.
