I’ve medicated myself with Agony
Your words still cut though my heart like a serrated edge
I turn to my self but I see only what I’ve caused
This an affinity of truth leads to my disastrous ending
Truth be told, I will fight these odds
Always reluctant to turn away
No one shall sway my mind’s eye and its focus
I can teach myself to dream in peace again
This is my blood spilt before me
My crimson mess and blight
No gods or spirits can here my mind’s cries
Forced to face the facts of life
I blend in with this inverted daylight
My shadow cast is my only friend
My inner demon clasps its hand around my soul
The world around me is tasteless
I have danced with devils
I’ve been burned by fire
I’ve wept in the aftermath of my frantic decisions
The evidence of my blackness is forever known in scars
I am pathetic
I am useless
I cannot change that
But I wish I could
