|
You are a living memory
Of the one I lost.
The one I should hate,
You, with dark, lifeless eyes.
Eyes that have taken over,
His formerly dancing flames.
You are lifeless.
A toy to be cherished,
By the child I once was.
And I cherished you,
O, how I loved you,
When you pretended.
I thought I could
Keep you forever.
But, alas, I lost my grip.
I keep looking for the shaggy hair,
The soft horns and friendly smile.
I have not found you yet.
I know that you are lost,
There is no way I can retrieve you.
I must move on.
But again I look around my bed,
Along the floor littered with memories.
And still I can not find you.

WoW you have done a very good job on this write. One can feel ur emotions, love and hate.You captivate ur reader from start to finish. A very well penned piece of poetry. Keep up the great work Ash.
