Glass eyes
Watching,
Guarding
From behind the wall.
Their glowing coats, smooth and slick.
Mouths ready to sing with the choir.
Innocent,
Blameless faces.
Their wings bring them to the surface
Of their magic bubble,
Just so they can float back down.
In the safety of my room,
Away from the creatures of the sea,
They linger
And await their fate.
