I dreamt about you last night

I slowly closed my eyes and into this state of being I went
I looked beyond the clouds and the sea and you were standing right next to me
You slowly leaned in to kiss my cheek and every part of me was numb. Could it be?
I grabbed your hand and we walked away
Not looking back because maybe then we’d wake up
I looked into your eyes and everything I wanted was there
The love
The passion
And even the intensity of a thousand men
I dreamt about you last night and I woke up and you weren’t even there!
