What I want

selfstruggles

I want to grow old with myself,
I want to enjoy my own company,
I want to understand what makes
my heart go whoosh with glee.
I want to accept my faults,
and not critizise myself into shame.
I want to believe in my power of love,
my ability to make myself happy.
I want my illiusions,
of what my body should look like,
according to those super model ladies...
I want the illiusion to disappear
I want to live in the here and now,
and not fear the mirror.
I want my mind to have some peace and quiet,
just for me.
I am looking for self respect,
self love,
and self acceptance.
This is what I want from Me!

Great write. Society unfortunately makes woman think they should be skinny, dress like tarts, and cover our beautiful faces with nasty make-up. Well, I love myself, I am a simple hippie gal. I can relate though to feeling uncomfortable at times with all the fake women around me. Love yourself. Peace to you, Laura |
