Chasm of Time
Sometimes there seems to
be a crack in time,
you know the place where
all things slip from the
grasp of those who hold
knowledge.
She rode into the sunset
without a horse but a knight,
one with foretold knowledge
of the rebirth of time as it
slipped through the chasm
we know as life.
Were we destined to seep
like crimson petals upon a
river calmly flowing?
Or,
perhaps,
shift through the sand
like eels caught on a raft
