My G-d

Hidden from our eyes
the L-rd leads us
sometimes
the still waters
rise up
the crashing waves
surround
pulling us
We cling
to our faith
perilously
Crying out
My G-d, my G-d
why have thou forsaken me?
Hidden from our eyes
the Lord answers us
His whispered words
stir in our hearts
Around and around they
spin
and
spin
Our minds fill
with the words
spinning
in our hearts
We hold on
we believe
We see our G-d
and we know
that our G-d
is so personal
so distinctly
our Father
that we will
stand alone
before Him
Hidden from our eyes
the L-rd holds us
in the palm
of His hand
and we know
what we can't see
is still
his unending love.

Carol,
a most beautiful write. I felt your turmoil and I love poetry that moves me through emotions.
I hope it works out well for you try not to worry to much. This is a year of many seeking out spiritual journies your husband may be one of them.
Hugs

You should not equate the lord with a single religion, for if he is truly the lord he will accept the way your husband chooses to worship him?

Wonderful, meaning filled poem. Yes, God has a purpose in all that's done: To glorify the majesty of His dear Son.
God bless |

Surprisingly I am reminded of the series by CS Lewis (and no I have not seen the movie yet)
But in the last book it is said that it doesn't matter the name of your God or faith, but what is in your heart goes to the one God that is all gods.
A well done piece! |
