Hero

Contributed by The_Phantom on Friday, 26th July 2002 @ 06:16:59 AM in AEST
Topic: InspirationalPoems

Who's a hero,
Is it the men at ground zero,
Maybe the soldiers that died,
Even the mother that cries,

The men and women that risk their lives,
The pilots that continue to fly,
The ones that survived the twin towers,
The broken heart of a world power,

The ones that fight the fires,
The ones that pass out the wanted fliers,
The NYPD, the NYFD,
The soldier that fights to keep us free,

There's a hero in everyone,
From the riches man, to the homeless one,
The tears fall from America's eyes,
But we must stay strong, and remember those who've died,

We will rebuild,
We will heal,
There's a hero in you and me,
So let it out, so the world can see.

Forever Faithful
The Phantom

Awesome expression and tribute to some of the sung (and unsung) heroes of American life... excellently done!
