Ice and Fire

Why does everything feel like ice
like tiny little knives
Stabbing your skin all over
Why does it change so fast
To become fire
Melting away all that's left
Ice is cold, meaningless
Like a liar's kisses in the moonlight
Fire is hot, angry passion
Raging inside of you
Demanding to be let out
That day you left
I felt all of this
But now I don't feel much
Everything is pretty much numb
But every once in a while
I can almost see
The ice and fire
in battle
Inside of me.
