Almost Like a Dream

Topic: LovePoetry

Foating...
millions of miles above the rest of the world.
If only gravity wouldn't pull me down,
I could stay up here in my perfect vision of heaven,
a vision of my life with you.
its almost like a dream...
it began when our eyes first met.
I looked beyond your piercing green eyes,
and saw the person inside.
Yet, he was full of so much sadness,
a broken heart, now scared to love, no doubt.
how could i mend this broken soul?
you reminded me of someone i know all too well.
Myself.
I fall inlove too easily, i let myself get hurt.
So, Is it worth it to put my heart on the line just one more time?
If it means being with you, then yes.
But please, i beg you,
dont lead me to believe that you love me
and want to spend the rest of forever with me...
when forever for you, is only until you find someone better.
Forever never seems long enough.
I could spend the rest of every eternity with you
and when our time was through,
selfishly ask for one more day,
one more day to hold you in my arms,
look into your eyes,
tell you my love never dies.
At every glance, my knees grow weak.
What is this feeling?
I am overcome with smiles and butterflies.
speaking to you
dreaming of you
alone with you
anywhere with you,
we dont even have to touch,
your within my reach,
thats all i need.
Not too good to be true,
like i once thought we were.
Though there are times i cannot show,
just how happy my heart is when you are here.
There is one thing i know.
That's when your not here,
my heart aches with fear.
i could wake up tomorrow
and you could be gone,
left me forever,
your through, you moved on...
As i drown in my ocean of emotions
you pull me to the surface
yet again breathing life into me.
is it because you love me?
is this why you of all people
are giving to me once more
a reason to try...
to breathe...
to live...
to smile...
to love...

This was splendid. So sweet....love is a truely wonderful thing. I have been with my husband almost 7 years now and I still feel the butterflies....his kisses still make my knees weak. He keeps me smiling. Thank you for sharing such a lovely piece. Peace to you, Laura
