Time creeps while we are watching,
and sprints the second we turn our back.
Time needs space,
but does not like to be ignored.
We want time to hurry when we are young,
and slow down when we are getting old.
Time is our enemy,
it does not like us,
it does not listen to us.
Time will not go back,
if we mess up,
it simply goes on.
Time does not give us second chances,
it does not care.
We live by time,
and time lives by us.

Interesting thoughts. I really liked the metaphor that you used at the beginning. You are very right about everything you wrote and I like it a lot. Nice work. |

Too true, time is a most callous state of affairs. If you need it there is none or when you try to catch a bus and it disappears into the far off distance. yes indeed time is cruel. Great poem keep them coming from bernard2 |
