Where Ice Was Before

Contributed by NoSaint on Sunday, 15th January 2006 @ 05:20:17 PM in AEST
Topic: MiscPoems

Festering cesspools
Infection of soul
Those lost to themselves
They don’t know

Hatred only emotion
Must hurt others hearts
Only way they feel better
Is to throw poison darts

Blight on humanity
Never reach out a hand
Rather wallow in self pity
Than help someone to stand

If they forget about
Their pitiful plight
And they work to make
Someone else’s load light

They may get a glimpse
Of a truly joyful heart
And be surprised when
Of their spirit it is a part

For outward things bring
Happiness for only a moment
But reaching out to those in need
To our soul is time well spent

Even just a smile
Or opening a door
Can leave a warm spot
Where ice was before

BRAVO!!!!SPECTACULAR!!!! This is absolutely amazing Shari........So true, so genuine, and so few words to describe those selfish, self-centered people, who lack love for another, but truly are "Lover's of themselves!"
Boy, this one will always be one of my favorites!
Warm love
consue
I love the ending!
