Absent-Mindedly

Contributed by Jane_Doe on Sunday, 15th January 2006 @ 05:21:17 AM in AEST
Topic: SecretLove

Every aspect you present
Could water my eyes
Has lightened my heart
Can render me thoughtless
When faced with a person who knows
Naught of me nor my passion
Who cannot feel the things I feel
The glorious love and the brittle pain

I accept the blows of no emotion
Bruising me and tearing me apart
Burning away my conscienceness
Tearing at my being
And each passing moment
Leaves my soul in your hands
To be painfully carved away at
Into a sculpture of deformities

And deep within my screams I hear
A noting voice to calmly tell
That there's not another card to play
And I should try to breathe again
So I try ignore your maiming moves
But it hurts me so much more
Just to know that you do it all
Absent-mindedly
