My thoughts now pour upon,
That dense sum af ages spent,
The sum of merciless time,
Whose will, mine, can not bend.
Beneath me all my fears must lie,
Ere my joys and thier contents,
Shall lay a-twixt the dreamers dust,
Raining down from higher rents.
Within the soils my fate did lend,
I shall sow the seeds of youth,
Ideals of grace that shall ascend,
To confound deaths ill fortune!
Time shall but hide the legacy,
Of a generations hope in thee.

This was very lovely. The words you used were so beautiful though I personally found this poem rather sad, to think of such things. But it was a magnificent write, all the same. |
