The Broken Families

Contributed by poetryfreak13 on Saturday, 14th January 2006 @ 08:20:09 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

I realized how the hurt and broken families do not only reside in me
They reside in the souls of my friends
Most of my friends tell the stories
of “Just another broken home"
The rage and hostility exists everywhere
In all the broken homes in the world
that are just ignored
We all live in the land of make-believe
where everyone is happy
***** THAT FAIRY TALE!
Life can not be that way.
And here now we sit wallowing
in the pity we deserve
She has caused her daughter
much pain and grief, though I don’t know
if she did anything or not to deserve it
I don’t think so.
But I do not live in this family
or any of the other broken homes
minus my own
And then with him
they don’t ask
or even wonder where he is
And the other one
she feels as if her father
is always disapproving
. And there is her whose parents
don’t want her to even marry before getting her PHD
They are so controlling
Then there is the one whose family is so high they don’t care what happens to her.
What is whong with people.

heartbreaking write. a sad truth about society today. We can heal our own wounds and move on past the broken homes and hearts though.

Nicely expressed
