That Call

Contributed by myfinalbreath on Saturday, 14th January 2006 @ 07:43:08 PM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

I got that call, that dreaded call
And I knew that something was wrong
The caller-id said it was you but it wasn't your voice that I heard
Your father told me that he was with you in the ICU
And you had told him to call

Thursday night you had come home drunk
And got into a fight in the hall
Friday morning in your room you slit your wrists
And overdosed on only God know's what

The shock of that call sent me into a rage
I love you so much, how could you try to take yourself from me?
I just wanted to break everything in sight
Knowing that I had done this to you

All I want right now is to be by your bedside
To hold your hand while you sleep
And to know that everything is going to be alright
Or maybe wake up from this dream

Very sad but well written.
Please take it easy on yourself as we are all personally held responsible for our actions.
I will put you'll in my prayers. Hang in there.

my heart goes out to you-I dated a man that did this- I hear he still blames me for his problems- not your fault- he did this to himself
good to get your feelings out- and this may sound harsh- but do not become his enabler.
my prayers are with you.
Peace and Light
