Chose Her Over Me

She is better than me
Everybody loves her
They know and love her
I'm just pathetically inferior
Nobody really knows me
But a select few
If only they could see
Who I am
Nobody takes the time
Everyone involved in her life
No one sees the needs of mine
Chose her over April
I have to work so hard
Just to have a life to fill

She doesn't even
Have to try
It only leads me to believeing
She is better that I
Is it all in my head?
Is she a shallow *****?
With every word left unsaid
I dig myself a deeper ditch
Just to bury my soul
every time I see her
It takes a worse toll

Everytime
The pain returns
Every line
The more she learns
If she's perfect
Simply put: I'm not
She's got everything
Me is all that I've got
Push everyone,
Everything away
I'm sorry
I didn't want it to end this way
I'll just leave
With the words I'll never say
Debts unpaid,
Promises I made
Wasted
Gone
I'd rather not deal
Since I've waited this long
These wounds will never heal
