Its a hollow pain
The price we pay
For fame and fortune now
The bitter test
Of sweet success
Dries and tames the heart
Pain is nothing
To the shining
Gems that you deserve
For the rose smells sweet
But as you sleep
It whithers into dust
The diamond though
A tale it shows
Of a woman of the world
Sorry my dear
The answer is clear;
Diamonds are forever
