Last Licks in the Plaza hotel bar
Midtown Manhattan,
Luxurious silk and satin
Chasing the bullets,
Leaving the crime scene
Clarifying the precarious situation
That I currently find my self in
Emotionally unsaturated
And unearthed
Drained from ambition
Poor self-worth
To assuage the contrite
Deviously built beginning
A relief to witness
An auspicious happy ending
A harmful throaty soar,
Stomach heard coughing
Ailing red and white blemish
Feverish dust to start the curing
Fortifying myself,
From animals and their bombs
Intensifying the struggle,
To dissolve and disarm

This is a very good poem even though when I first read the name, I thought you might have written about the creation of the atomic bomb used to destroy Hiroshima and Nagasaki (though you did mention bombs). Anyway, Excellent job! |
