My Dream
How she makes my heart flutter
How she quickens my senses
Who is this angel so amazing?
Is she real or am I in a dream?
I’ve heard of such dreams
Dreams of which it’s said
One would choose never to awaken
Sleeping forever if only their choice
If she is such a dream
Then this poem shall never be written
And you will never know the love
The desire the passion we explore together
You will never know my heart purrs
As a kitten beneath the velvet touch
Of her heavenly blue eyes
The gentleness of her smile
Perhaps today I may for a moment
Allow myself to awaken
Enduring “reality”
That you might share my rejoicing
~~~~~~
Now I must quickly return
To the angel of my heart
I assure you she’s real
The precious dream of my heart!
