Nightly Freedom

With the setting of the sun
She walked through eternity
With the rising of the moon
Her path was clear to see
Hope was her future
Despair of her past
No longer living in darkness
Her joy would last
With the stars shining
High in the night sky
She felt worlds
Gliding quickly by
Lifting her arms
To the universe
She slowly turned
Embracing the curse
Instead of suffering
For her families foul
She enjoyed her freedom
Through the eyes of an owl
High she flew
To parts unknown
Dipping and soaring
Her spirit her own
Then when comes
The morning’s light
She will again be slave
To humanities plight

oh Shari how utterly inspiring this poem is. Wouldn't it be just be marvelously wonderful if we could all take to flight and come back when everything was said and done. This reminds me of King David in the Bible when he said, "Oh But that I had the wings of a bird......."
This poem I will always remember dear Shari, it's so full of life and joy!
Warm love

your types of writing style can allow everyone to lead to their own imagination, they are so entertwined with beauty, many facets of imagination, pure solid genuine rock .. truth in these words.. is why I learned how to trust in myself.. night and day.. MP raquelLeah |
