Even in your eyes I see nothing of the soul which i have come to fear, and now each and every day my eyes stream your tears.
It hurts to chase the things that keep me sane, so instead i keep on swallowing up your pain, little by little breaking the strain.
You only chased me down, another one night stand whenever you wanted to come around, i reached up to find my hand severed.
Never understood how you could use e as your rebound, loving me to run when someone new would ever come around.
All the lies, the ones you told to cover up, they all fell through, and i learned that i could always see right through to you.
I found out your lies, refused to believe, but soon i realized what you were all about...the heart will only take so much pain.
The tears can only go so far, and ive stopped wishing upon all the stars, i opened up my eyes to see behind you, a brand new me.
Only now your hand is no longer wrapped around my heart, ive found that one place, it wasnt far, im headed for a brand new start.

It is so true that we love those who hurt us. This was a good poem! |
