Asking for Truth

Contributed by Aquaelius on Tuesday, 10th January 2006 @ 12:36:19 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Think about the now...
What we want, what we need.
What I need... a body, a soul... another voice.
I need that now.

I think about the now.
Each step that we take, the limits on life.
What you need... a warmth, a strength... security.
And I'm trying to take care of the now.
But you want truth... now?

The sun rose when you were here, the sun rose once you left.
I work during the day, I sleep at night.
Temptation was there...
Silk remains as soft, on your body or on my bed.

But you want truth...
You want the truth now?

I don't need you now, like I did need you then.
I don't think about you now, the same as I thought about you then.
My breath still catches when I see you,
my knees still weaken.
But the world doesn't stop on you.

Think about the now, what we need now.
Did then mean that much, that we can't be now?
My heart belonged to other women,
Like yours belonged to other men.
That's the truth... I accept that, now...
why now can't you?

Such a terrific write. You did the best you could to be honest, but for them its still not enough. The words they burn and sting, they may hurt, but thats true honesty.

Here is a littel something I wanted to share with you. Hope it goes with what your feeling with your poem I just read above.

The you…

You gave me hope that is why.
You took me away from a dreaded house.
You gave me life when I knew it was gone.
I answer your words as you ask why…

You provided security and I was not ashamed.
You lifted my soul when we were in bed.
You changed my voice and it was heard.
I answer your words as you ask why…

You had me with your smile.
You had me with your touch.
You had me with your kiss.
You had me without resist.
I answer your words as you ask why…

You loved me with emotion.
You pleased my body.
You played with my hair.
You held me with care.
I answer your words as you ask why…

The me…

I need as any woman.
I need what you say.
I only have the now to give.

I need you.
I need us.
I only need to see you.

I breathe you.
I long for you.
I only need the best.

I miss our fights.
I miss our togetherness.
I only needed a chance.

The change…

The truth hurts in so many ways.
Apologies made so many times.
There is a change in our crossed path.
There was never a given chance on both of our accounts.

When there is another in my life as there is in yours,
Perhaps then I will accept it and answer the rest of your words.
