Lost in the woods
It was getting dark
So much for a quick
Walk in the park
The moon showed full
The night was clear
Tired and scared
He listened with both ears
He heard a howl
It was a lonely sound
Then a she wolf
Came looking round
She looked at him
He stared into her blue eyes
Then to his surprise
A woman began to materialize
Her beauty magnificent
Under the stars light
She smiled at him
Asking if he was alright
As his plight he explained
She smiled and took his hand
Leading him out
Of this barren land
At the edge of the woods
She kissed him softly on his cheek
Then running through the trees
Of her tail was all he could peek
Years later he still thinks
Of his night lost in the woods
And the Lady wolf
Which leaves his heart feeling good

Beautiful --giving homage and glory to a creature in our midst that is often thought of as bad!
I love poems with happy endings. and they lived Happily Ever After............written very well, and presented as a wonderful tale!
