Satan In The Suburbs

Contributed by Jyssvw22 on Monday, 9th January 2006 @ 06:36:04 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

Arrow head
Suck the poison out
The teeth marks outlined in red
Flesh yields to vast rips, to fast tears, to flat dead

Bludgeon with axes and machetes
Clubbed citizens in the deep tunnels of urban cities
Time in a vacuumed funnel of ducks sitting pretty

A one-time-deal
Travelers turn to inhabitants
Colonized the unimagined
Immobilized the armies gathered in the dark the dungeons
Shields, swords, caskets, and armor to protect the royal fortune

Suburban Satan patrols the farmers market
Stealth fighters prepare to launch heat guided rockets

A target, lethargic,
Ambidextrous, both hands on the red button
Public, intoxicated,
Both feet grounded in said nothing

In pairs of three the foreign rebels flee
In times of desperate need
A father in secret
Has abandoned
His childs’ mouth to feed
A mother has forsaken,
Shaken, in the bitter cold-
Her daughters’ right to breathe-
And grow old

They are justified and juxtaposed
Near, relief, one might suddenly suppose
In rare disbelief of what appears yet to unfold
