To live life without really living,
Is the saddest lyric that can be written,
To watch the pendulum without doing the swinging,
Is the eighth deadly sin in the mind of many,
Should we let chance float bye like a lonely bottle cast to sea,
Or are we blind till our experiences allow us to see,
Or is it in the middle where true happiness hides,
Silently mocking those on either side,
These are the questions that can not be answered,
They haunt thy dreams till thy waking hour,
To “Live in the moment” is just a phrase,
For every minute can be a moment to many,
The painted glass has many views,
And we’d be naive to stop at just two,
You ask the definition of “living” and my answer is silence,
The word of a thousand meanings with ten seconds time,
So who can pass judgment on this answerless question,
How do we measure without a measuring stick,
The only true mirror lies within our souls,
So the real question is,
Is yours broken or is it whole,

Ohh...nice and dark. I especially like,
"The painted glass has many views,
And we’d be naive to stop at just two,"
Great job! |
