I let your hand rest on mine
a moment lost in the division of our crime
so brutally ending an era not our own
attempting down a path that no one condones
you pull back out of me
exhale then breath
what a sad state of knowledge
for me to truly believe
possession to acknowledge
what is begging to bleed
wrists summoned under bedsheet
cold night sweats
and relentlessly you beat
what is alive in me
is there life in me?
draw back from this disdain
a mortal being detained
in a cursed body
is there anybody?
I let your hand rest on mine
a moment lost in the division of our crime
so brutally ending an era not our own
attempting down a path that no one has condoned
relentlessly I beat
what is alive in me
refusal surrender to defeat
is there life in me?
anybody???

your writes, i've noticed, seem to be getting more and more desperate, as opposed to your usual defiant streak. i hope you're okay, and this was a brilliant poem, as always.
