Seduction By A Shadow

Contributed by WhyAmIHere on Monday, 9th January 2006 @ 12:05:25 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

I lay in bed in night and look out my window longing to feel the cool breeze caress my skin. Looking at the moon and yearning to be able to be free to roam under it's vibrant radiance. My eyes focus on a shadow outside the window. It stops on the edge of my street lamp's light.
It calls to me in my mind
"Come with me, we will rove together and bask under the moon's glow" It extends a hand towards me An invitation to an immortal life. "We can have anything we want
life forever, having the life force of others coursing through our veins, revitalizing us
The taste of fresh blood, is salty sweet, warm and excellent!"
I am drawn to him
I open my window and reach for his hand
It suddenly shatters and I am brought back to reality by the shrill beeping of my alarm. "It was only a dream" I think Then, in the shadows of the early morning I catch a glimpse of a figure, Is it him?
