You gave me a reason to stay in this place
with your sweet charm and loving face
through all the times i wanted to bail
you convinced me there was no way i'd fail
i dont think you could have been more wrong
while on the edge im trying to hold strong
you hold one hand with me dangling so near
dont let go i say with so much fear
in your eyes the heart goes weak
while your hands strong grip i try to seek
but no longer is it strong and tight
so much for holding with all your might
i slip through your fingers and with one last cry
i say i love you and a final goodbye
while i fall i take a final look at you
you tried to save me that i knew
thank you for the kisses and sweet song
but the hole in the ground is were i belong
