Boiling point

Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Emotions in a pot of pain, ready to boil
Heated by anger and hurt and turmoil
A New Year, the last year, that I’ll hide in my room
While the mood in this house breeds impending doom
Four years of damage, connection not found
Even though we’ve gotten closer, and parenting’s a common ground
The connection I once had is gone, not in love
Tired of trying, tired of staring above
At the ceiling, in the middle of the night
As I try to vent my sadness, and her mind fills with fright
At the thought of separating, and being alone
We’re better off this way, instead of living separate in our home
I love and I care, but it’s just not the same
And I miss the girl I love, and I married, it’s a shame
That we’re shells of what we once were, so in love, but no more
Now our world consist of being roommates, yelling, fights, and slamming doors
I loved you with all of my heart, and my soul, and I miss
The days and nights where you were my world, electrified by your kiss
The pot is coming to a boil, we need to walk away
And separate before emotions burn all that’s in our way
The tears are streaming down the pot, I'm grieving for it all
And I cry in the ruins of the love we had, as our 15 years together fall

This is so emotional. This was overpowering and full of raw and hurt emotions. I hope things get better for you and I hope everything works out.

take care
*hugs*
