*American Soldiers*

Contributed by Tigger25 on Friday, 6th January 2006 @ 03:46:15 PM in AEST
Topic: AmericanTragedy

The men and women are still overseas..
Fighting for our country to be free..
Theres some dying everyday..
Someone has their precious life taken away..
Theres ones being seriously injured..
Their life sometimes hangin in the balance..

The bombs and explosions are getting better..
The soliders still there are getting tired..
The streets of Iraq are somewhat back to normal..
People walking and driving all around..
Iraqis back to work and some still afraid..
Everywhere you look there's still reminders of what happened..
It seems like just yesterday..

They deploy more troops to go fight for us..
More come back home to US grounds..
The soldiers lives will never be the same..
They will have that image of destruction and carry it with them..
I pray for the soldiers who are overseas..
Pray they all come home safe..

The war is over for the most part now..
And our country is still free..
We all give our thanks..
To the AMERICAN SOLDIERS who risked their lives for freedom..
And commend the ones who lost their lives to keep us free..

You are right--though some are coming home--others are still there and need our prayers! My daughter is now emailing one Marine there--so your reminder is for me to pray for all our troops!

God bless you for writing this!

As long as there are those who hate, America will be guarded by her best.

My thanks to all who serve proudly.

I feel from the bottom of my heart for those who serve in any armed force. I know they go into that profession willingly knowing the potential consequenses but I pray to God for anyone who becomes a victim of violence.
Great work.
