Self-Proclaimed Saint

Contributed by desolated_denial on Friday, 6th January 2006 @ 01:01:48 PM in AEST
Topic: abstract

A pornographic thought,
A pure immunity
The whisper of a dirty whore,
The time in which you spent on me
Another lifeless blow,
Another worthless attack
No affect for the effect
Nothing for you to ever show
A cloth covered heart, bleeding with insecurity
A sheild against your comical mind,
and nothing means as much you do
I'm not a martyr,
I'm just a saint,
Saint Pornographic Thought,
Of everything you thought to know.
Ignorance is bliss,
even the ignorant are arrogant
Nothing is safe anymore,
The king of nothing reigns today,
To bring down yet another reign of invisible terror,
Cheers!
Worship the dirty, scabbed feet of the self-proclaimed prophet
Yeah ... I'm talking about you.
Your dirt eyes filled with needy thoughts of thoughlessness
Nothing mattered
As long as it suited you
Here's your crown of filth,
I agree ...
... It suites you

this write was extremely intense and gripping. I had to read through it twice to let the emotion of it settle. There are a lot of brilliant images here when you say," worship the dirty, scabbed feet of the self-proclaimed prophet" I get this sick feeling picturing it because your anger is so vivid and raw in those lines. I think that the piece was greatly enhanced by your bold "NOTHING MATTERED" it added a sense of urgency and " i mean business" kind of attitude, as if forcing someone to see the truth about themselves. The entire piece was drenched in emotion and passion but as for the meaning, who it's directed to I get mixed ideas. This could be about anyone in your life but it also holds relevance to the Christian belief of Jesus Christ and this could accurately be the way that you feel towards him, if you believe in him. I prefer to see this write as something non-religious because it would be a more substantial write if it was, in my opinion anyways.

great portrayal of an intelligent concept litered with just the right amount of passion!

~when you ask to explore this temple of mine, I will refuse, not because I don't love it when you touch me. But because you must never know, that your face is the god of my wounds~weepingprophet
