Who am I?

Topic: MiscPoems

Who am I? A Simple man
I hope so, may be with some
Contradictions, though
What am I? A good son?
Both parents are not there
To trestify, though my stepmom
would say yes, I think
A good brother? Again I think so
Or else my three sisters and three
Step brothers would not bother about me

A good Hubby? My wife stoutly denies
A good father? I think I am
Or my sons would have said no too
Amiable? I think so or else
Why all my in laws, nephews and nieces
And most everyone in the family like me?
I get along well in the work place too

As for my looks, even in a land, where
The average height is not much, I am short
Just five feet tall, lean, dark skin and
An underweight to boot
I have crossed two and fifty but my hair
Is still jet black, though not my facial hair
Which is turning white too darn fast

I think young and feel young
I am too passionate for one so small
And a romantic too
I love to read and my favourite
was and still is westerns
I admire beauty in everything
Especially in women

I walk fast but act slow
Haste is waste is my policy
I am too blunt in my approach
And do not have a slick tongue
Too impulsive and sensitive too
Perfection, I appreciate
Imperfection, I try to tolerate

I fear God and trust in HIM
By faith I survive and it is His gift
That I write, May be not perfect, yet
I love to love and be loved too
Don't know how to hate and can never
Hold a grudge, a boon or a bane?
Learned to hold my temper in check
When I got married :) :)

Was born on the seventh day of seventh month
And it was a Friday, so my Granma said
Somewhere I read, seven and
Harmonious marriage are alien
Folks born on friday tend to be

Amorous
And may be I am too
