until the age of 9 i lived in what some people would call the ghetto... where i had to steal food for me and my younger sister... where weapons and drugs are easily found.. and beatings were common and around every corner!! at the age of 9 i was taken away form the only lif ethat i have ever known... my father took me from that life.. i talked to my mother the week after... the conversation..." hi mommy where are you?? what are you doing?? what do you mean we won''t see you? where are you going? why mommy? don''t you love us no more? mommy please tell me? please... don''t go... why are you going away? why won''t you stay with me? whats wrong mommy don''t cry... its me isn''t it... yes it is don''t lie!! no mom please don''t go please... but i love you... please mom...i''ll be good i swear... i promise!! i''ll be good i''ll eat all my food i pray... i''ll do what ever you want!! please... please... MOM!!! please don''t go!! whats wrong with me?? please tell me why do you have to go!! mom? mom? are you there? my mom hung up... it was too hard for her to talk to me... when i was young i didn''t understand that she was doing the right thing!! all i saw was that she was letting me down again... she was running away... and in a way she was... i''ve lived with my dad for 10 years and have everything i have ever wanted in my life!! the phone rings... once again its my mom... to be continued...

Certainly a very unique poem. Yet also very deep and anecdotal.
