Silent Flames

Contributed by LifeFadingAway on Wednesday, 4th January 2006 @ 07:46:52 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Die in a sea of loneliness
Surrounded by the sound of silence
All those words you never said
Haunting me till the end
My friends have left me waiting
The cold took over my mind
Silence came to break me
Fire took control of the time

Die surrounded by the flames
Watching them kill you slowly
And the words only I could hear
I know they weren't meant for me
So who have left you waiting now
Have you ever felt the cold
It's silent here without you
Time told me that you're gone

As the flames surround you
I walk away into the dark
I'm leaving you behind to burn
And you will see how I felt
Now you know how it is
Going unnoticed through life
The fire so cold is silent now
The time has come to say goodbye

Nice write. Getting even is great, but sometimes it leave you feeling more empty then when you began the burning. I hope it didn't work that way for you. Kepp up the good work

I really liked the flow and word choice for this poem. The poem was really good. Thankyou for the comment on "Midnight Eyes".
