when the music fades
and the melody turns slow
theirs a place we can go
when life gets tough
and friends cant be found
theirs a guy who's always around
at my fathers house
their is no pain or sorrow
all the tears have gone away
thats the place i want to stay
a place where yesterdays are forgotten
all the angels sing and children dance
everybodys give a second chance
at my fathers house
when my numbers called
and my race is nearly run
when my days of glory have begun
i'll be going where my loved ones rest
i know thats where i want to be
and surely you will find me
at my fathers house
