Drowning in Sadness

Contributed by rocken88 on Tuesday, 3rd January 2006 @ 07:43:15 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

All is bright and all is well,
while the sun is still shining.
Birds are chirping,
butterflies about,
the smell of flowers dancing through the air.
Then a dark cloud comes from nowhere,
right before the crashing storm.
Rain pours and melts,
lightning strikes and tares,
and the thunder shatters my heart.
The flood seeps in around me,
creeping higher and higher,
to my heart,
around my neck,
and then to my eyes.
I have drowned in sadness.

...it reminds me how fast things can change, and how convincing it all can be. good expression, sort of short though. you can always add on to it later. keep writing
