Oak's Nice

Topic: sarcasticpoetry

Now I’m in the coffin
I think I’m finally ready to move
Away from this stupid city
I’m always prepared for I’m the one to lose

Bet you thought you could control all my modern tendencies
But you know that I can run faster than you can
You tried to keep up with me
But I also have a quicker hand

I can’t understand your values
They change faster than the traffic, green to red
You failed to represent a smart girl’s intellect
You gave up and pulled the plug to make me dead

They handed me medication
And told me everything should turn out fine
I asked them how the ***** they know all these things
They pushed more pills into my mouth and I think I swallowed my mind

I guess all I had was waiting
Waiting in the very back of the bus
I realized my stop was never to come
I got nothing but that’s really all there was

So I’m laying here wondering
How the hell you could misconstrue
All these reasons for hating me
What in the hell did I ever do?

I’m sitting here in this coffin
I should probably be paying my respects
To myself and all the reasons
You found it appropriate to make me and my friends’ suspects

I wish for you the best of things
I wish for you to one day find yourself content
You probably think I’m rotting somewhere
It’s just like you to flush my one attempt

Where should you and I begin?
You know your decency is at an end
I can’t believe you turned away from everything
Here’s a pile of mail to you that I will never send

You try to compensate for your loneliness
And sometimes I just have to stop and smile
You told the world I was crazy
When you were the crazy one all the while

We used to make it special
You put a big stripe of ***** on my face
But now that I’ve cleaned my glasses
I’m in an even better place

I’m climbing right out of this coffin
It’s time I really got on a move
I’ll leave you with all your modern tendencies
And all the feelings of commitment you always love to misconstrue

Last verse.. I loved it, way to go..
Seventh verse... too

The whole poem is fantastic. glad you are on the move, let no one keep you down... let those act a fool...some will speak and think what they wish you to hear, find out the true you and stay there.. work on that... RL
