I can feel my heart tremble at the mention of his name,
The boy I so deeply love but who will never feel the same.
I try so hard to overcome this unrequited curse,
But each time he smiles, it only gets much worse.
I convinced myself it was over,
I had prevailed against my love
But he always knows just what to say
He seems to fit me like a glove.
And so this is how it will always be,
Me dreaming of him,
Him not dreaming of me.
For this is what I expect
So my expectations will never be wrecked.

| Great write, a pure translation of your pain and longing. I've been in a remotley comparable situation before, it's amazing how one pain can be conveyed in so many ways |
