you're sitting in the corner with my heart in your hand
staring back at me
wondering how this could be
like a lonely child playing in a dirty box of sand

this time is not the first
it seems that you have been here so many times before
with your tail between your legs headed for the door
hoping to quench your thirst

it's time you do what you should have done from the start
change your flow
let it all go
and give me back the pieces of my shattered heart

nice write...and the simple way you convey your emotions
