i'm your lost memory

Topic: DarkPoetry

Haunting this crimson regret of me dying,
I open my eyes to find you still hiding in the corner
still covered in my blood.
Still lying to yourself saying "it was meant to be"
still thinking that I’ll be just a memory,
but knowing all along that you’ll be missing me.

My dark shadows fall from life in this room of emptiness and loneliness.
Under the floorboards I lay lifeless.
Helpless as a child as my life is sucked right out from underneath me and out the door.
I will speak no more…

I’ve decayed in your memory now.
I’m washed away for good.
I thought you might consider remembering me because that’s all I ever wanted from you.
I wanted to be known,
remembered,
and noticed by you.
That’s why I taunted you that night when you held that knife to my throat.

Now I see that was one of my biggest mistakes.
I wanted you but I couldn’t have you and now I am gone forever.
My chance to get you is forever gone now.
I’m dead.
I’m dead to you.
I’m dead to me.
I’m nothing but a lost memory somewhere in your head.
I’ll never be found by you.

That's pretty sad. I don't know who put a knife to your throat, but don't let them cut who you are, knowwhatimean? Nice job, I totally get what you're saying here

I know what it's like to want to be remembered... but only killed in the process... and you did an extremly good job of describing that.

Really good. I know how you feel.
